I am soon to be married and will be combining both mine and my fiance s kitchen utensils after we get married The only problem being he has let his personal kashrus slide whilst living alone I want to know if it is possible to kasher plates and cutlery after they have been used both for milk and meat other than the planting in the earth for a month method
You should ideally throw away all the earthenware, pottery, china stuff. Metal cutlery you can kosher by putting it in boiling water for 30 seconds, but I'm sure you'll get loads of new utensils as wedding presents.
