I m a gentile living in Stamford Hill and I m curious about the Jewish love of Volvos I ve had several conflicting explanations but nothing definitive so far If you could satisfy my curiosity I d be very grateful
There is no definitive answer, but Volvos are generally large, can fit the whole family, and have a good safety record.
Also after the second world war, many Jews did not feel comfortable with buying German cars but wanted something as good quality and hence Volvo became a popular choice.
