Ariel Sharon
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Sunday in his weekly cabinet meeting that the situation in Russia proves that terror has no borders.
He says Israel has suffered from terrorism for decades, and it stands beside the people of Russia.
The Kremlin press service says Mr Sharon telephoned Russian President Vladimir Putin Sunday, and both leaders agreed on the need to join forces to fight terrorism.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov meets Mr Sharon in Israel on Monday in a trip that was planned before the school seizure.
They are expected to discuss the hostage situation and fighting terrorism.
