New route approved

The new blueprint was ordered after an Israeli Supreme Court ruling that the barrier's original path disrupted the lives of too many West Bank Palestinians.
Under the new plan, approved Wednesday, the wall of concrete slabs and razor wire will be moved closer to the so-called "green line" - Israel's boundary before it captured the West Bank in the 1967 war.
The new route will also enclose two large Israeli settlements on the Israeli side of the barrier.
Israel says the wall, where already completed, has blocked virtually all Palestinian militant attacks inside the Jewish state. But an advisory World Court ruling says the barrier is illegal and should be torn down.
