UK Jewish organisations are appealing to members of the community for help to support the victims of the Asian tsunami disaster in which over 120,000 people have been killed and more than a million made homeless.

World Jewish Aid, part of World Jewish Relief is heading up the project which is being supported by Jewish groups and organisations including United Synagogue, Liberal Judaism, Masorti and Reform Synagogues of Great Britain.

An online donation form at:   will allow contributions to be made.

Other groups including the Board of Deputies and B'nai B'rith are also lending their name to the initiative which hopes to raise atleast £100,000 to support relief work in the region.
