Liberal Judaism has appointed a new PR Officer who will continue to publicize the activities of this dynamic movement.

Hendon-based Cara Wides, 28, comes to the job having worked as a journalist and a PR Officer in the publishing industry.

Liberal Judaism Chief Executive, Rabbi Danny Rich said: “I am thrilled that Cara who emerged from a strong field of candidates has agreed to play a key role in communicating the vibrant message of Liberal Judaism.”

Wides added: “I am delighted to be joining an organization whose values I admire so greatly. I look forward to promoting the wide range of activities going on within Liberal Judaism, and becoming a member of its high-calibre workforce.”

An English Literature graduate, Wides has been involved with Progressive Judaism since her teenage years in the Reform youth movement RSY-Netzer.

Her CV includes a stint at the Asian Marketing Group, Britain’s largest Asian publishing house, and a work placement at The Jewish News.

Part of her working week will be spent at the award-winning PR Consultancy Luther Pendragon, whose clients include the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust and the Commission for Racial Equality.
