UJIA Ladies mission to Israel
A group of ten women from across London have taken part in the second UJIA ladies volunteering mission to Israel.
During their trip, the women visited various UJIA funded programmes in the north of the country including afternoon clubs. They also did a spot of volunteering themselves at Macha Alon which helps disadvantaged children.
The idea of the mission, which is now set as an annual event, is down to Radlett mum Michelle Newman.
"It is a really positive sign for the future of the volunteering mission that it is now in its second year and that interest remains high," said Michelle. "It was wonderful to see how this second mission was as special and rewarding as the first, it will hopefully pave the way for many more successful missions to come."
