British Jews joined over 3000 young Jews from around the world to take part at an event to celebrate Taglit-birthright Israel which has brought nearly 100,000 young Jewish adults aged 18 to 26 to Israel.
UK partner for the trip was UJIA which organises a UK delegation aged 21 to 26.
Addressing those attending and supporting the project, businessman Michael Steinhardt said: "Connecting young Israelis and their Jewish peers from around the world is our future and a great investment".
Anyone within the 18 to 26 age range (UK 21 to 26) who has never visited Israel is entitled to apply for the ten day trip which offers the chance to find out more about the country and get to meet others.
Funding to cover the costs which include flight, meals, accommodation is provided by the Israeli government along with a number of philanthropic partners.
