Lawyer to the rich and famous including British Royalty, Lord Mishcon of Lambeth has died at the age of 90.

His son, Peter, said his father died at home in Bayswater, west London following a long illness. "He died at the end of a long life. He had just been declining for a long time."
Born in 1915, Lord Mishcon set up his legal firm Victor Mishcon and Co in 1937 and grew it to major expansion which culminated in merging with Bartletts de Reya  in 1988 to create Mishcon de Reya. Today the firm has 40 partners and 140 lawyers.
Among his clients and that of the legal firm were Princess Diana, singer Craig David and DJ Fatboy Slim.
"In a remarkable career spanning eight decades he gained a worldwide reputation for his wisdom, integrity and discretion. We have all been fortunate to have known and worked with such a remarkable individual and are privileged to carry on his legacy. He will be greatly missed." said Kevin Gold, managing partner, Mishcon de Reya.
Lord Mishcon was a life long Labour supporter and was made a Life Peer in 1978 and from 1983-1990 was chief Labour spokesman on Home Affairs.
An active member of the Jewish community and keen to see peace in the Middle East, Lord Mishcon was involved with many groups including British Technion and The Peres Center for Peace.
In 1987, Lord Mishcon hosted a private meeting between Israel's then foreign minister Shimon Peres and King Hussein of Jordan for a peace plan between the two countries.
