More than 250 people attended the Zionist Federations (ZF) gala dinner in cental London on Sunday night.
Amongst the guests were the Israeli ambassador as well as Louise Ellman MP and Lee Scott MP, both patrons of the ZF, together with Andrew Dismore MP, Theresa Villiers MP and Charles Tannock MEP.
The annual dinner was in aid of the Shalom Foundation and the Jordan River Village, which provides support for seriously ill children in Israel.
The editor of the Jerusalem Post, David Horovitz was the guest speaker.
He spoke about the election victory of Hamas and its implications for Israel and the way in which it could affect the forthcoming Israeli elections.
Guests then enjoyed a film highlighting the ZFs many activities during the past 12 months, including its annual Israel Expo, MPs lobby, guest speakers and demonstrations.
An auction raised more than £8,000, which will go towards ZF projects throughout the year.
Zionist Federation Executive Director Alan Aziz said: "The dinner was our most successful so far and it highlights the commitment of our supporters towards Israel."
He added: "I believe that the organisations role in standing up for Israel is more important than ever and we will continue to do so."
