Mediating Jews on TV

Last updated: 2006-02-22

The classic broigus between Jewish families and friends is the inspiration for a new TV series that is set to be screened later this year.

And the television company behind the idea, Red Spider, is now searching for people who are willing to air their broiguses on film and try to have them resolved by trained mediators.

The television project, 'The Grudge Doctor’, aims to attract both Jewish and non-Jewish people to take part.

However, one of the people involved in making the programme, Ronit Knoble, believes the idea will strike a chord with Jewish people who wish to settle a broigus, but don’t know how to do so.

She said: "Most Jewish families have a broigus in their ranks, normally over something relatively minor, and these can be passed down through the generations. We would like to give people the opportunity to talk about their broiguses with trained professionals and hopefully resolve them to every ones satisfaction."

People wishing to find out more about the programme and how to get involved, should contact or by telephoning in confidence to 0207 267 3530.
