Jewish philanthropists from across the world are to get together in the United States for the annual Jewish Funders Network conference taking place on April 2-4 in Denver, Colorado.
The theme for this year's event will look at issues of Jewish identity and continuity under the title: Plug and Play Judaism: Identity and Community in the Global Era.
Several hundred benefactors and their organisations are expected to be represented which will also see a number of guest speakers including Everything Is Illuminated author Jonathan Safran Foer, international architect Daniel Libeskind and chief PLO negotiator Dr Saeb Erekat.
"We need to become more aware of how rapidly the definitions of what it means to be Jewish are changing," said Mark Charendoff, president of the Jewish Funders Network. "The philanthropic community must not shy away from confronting the difficult issues of identity and continuity these transformations raise."
