TV and radio presenter Vanessa Feltz hosted a sell out Yom Ha’atzmaut show at Wembley Conference Centre.

The ‘From Israel with Love’ show celebrated 58 years of Israel’s independence with music and dance from both English and Israeli performers.

The show, organised by the Zionist Federation, followed on from an exhibition of Israeli food, lectures and children’s activities at the conference centre.

The theme of the event was a celebration of the heroism, bravery and courage of Israelis past and present.

The performers included Eyal Golan, one of Israel’s leading singers, actors and singers from the entertainment troupe of the Israel Defence Forces, the dance group Kidanza as well as the schools choir, consisting of pupils from a number of Jewish primary and secondary schools.

Zionist Federation Director Alan Aziz said: "The show was a fantastic success and Vanessa Feltz was a wonderful host. Members of the audience commented that it was the closest they could be to Israel without being in Israel itself."

He added: "It was a great evening and a superb way for everyone involved to show their support for Israel."
