'Meldrew' at Nightingale

Residents at Jewish seniors home Nightingale were recently treated to an appearance from celebrated actor Richard Wilson.
The star of TV's One Foot in the Grave and renowned for his role as grumpy old man Victor Meldrew spoke to residents of the home about his work on TV and in the theatre.
In 2004, Wilson directed Primo a play based on the writing of Primo Levi at London's National Theatre which starred Jewish actor Sir Antony Sher in the lead role.
Wilson revealed the research he did on Levi, both in Italy where he was from and also in Auschwitz which he survived.
