Agency for Jewish Education
The United Synagogue's Agency for Jewish Education (USAJE) has become the UK's first Jewish education organisation to be approved to offer a wide range of courses to trainee teachers.
The approval came following a government Ofsted inspection and means that USAJE joins other leading organisations that help teachers and its focus on Jewish education will enhance education in the Jewish community.
As a result, USAJE hopes more trainee Jewish teachers will look to it as a way to gain their professional qualifications.
"This approval is further recognition of the quality of training we provide," said Agency director of education Jeffrey Leader. "As the countrys only accredited Jewish teacher training institution, we are now in a unique position to offer an even wider range of validated courses. This can only benefit the Jewish education community by continuing to provide excellent teachers for our schools."
