Large screen messages of support to Israelis facing the ongoing threat from Hezbollah are being shown across Israel through leading Israeli website Ynetnews.
The online division of the popular Hebrew language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Ynetnews has already received thousands of messages from across the world from both Jews and non-Jews expressing their solidarity with Israel and has worked with CTV Media to get those messages onto large screens which the public can see.
"My prayers are with you in this struggle to keep the State of Israel alive," said Gene from Poughkeepsie in New York, while Londoner Abigail offered "All my support to the brave IDF: Thank YOU for fighting in the name of democracy and for us all! May God bless YOU all."
A Ynetnews spokesperson told SomethingJewish that the screens are helping to boost morale among the public as well a soldiers.
"The screens are all over the country including north Israel. We have already received over 12,000 messages," said a Ynetnews spokesperson. "We are inviting people worldwide to send messages of support and solidarity to soldiers and civilians."
Anyone who wants to share a message of support for Israel can visit the Ynetnews website and post directly onto it and then it will be posted on the screen.
