The latest quarterly survey of British Jewish men and women and which celebrity Jew they would most like to go on a date has been revealed, and American Jews are beating the Brits when it comes to who British Jewish women want to date.

David Schwimmer has once again been voted by single Jewish women as the sexiest Jewish man alive according to the poll by dating site SomeoneJewish.com.The Hollywood star, who has been based in the UK for the last couple of years fought off competition from Borat funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen who came second. Seinfeld co-creator Larry David comes a coveted third place while Eastenders soap star Robert Kazinsky makes it to number four and business tycoon Sir Alan Sugar is fifth.

Jazz singer Amy Winehouse is now the top Jewish women, British Jewish males would like to go on a date with, while Natalie Portman comes second in the poll.

New theatre actress Abi Finley who missed out to on the coveted lead role in the Sound Of Music came third following a dazzling year in which the Manchester Jewess was on prime-time TV for several weeks.

"It's no surprise that David Schwimmer is always top in the mind of admiring Jewish females, he's been based here for a couple of years and the Friends TV show is always regularly re-run," said SomeoneJewish co-founder Eamonn Ozerovitch. "Jewish women say they love not just his looks, but also his boy next door appeal."

With a critically acclaimed new album, Back to Black, 23-year-old Amy Winehouse has bounced back into the spotlight and on the radar of Jewish male admirers.  "Amy is up there at number one for Jewish men, while coming in at number three is newcomer Abi Finlay who has won over many people since people saw her trying to land the lead role in The Sound of Music," Ozerovitch added.
