New Friend of Israel

Luciana Berger, a former National Union of Students leader who resigned in April 2005 saying the NUS leadership was "turning a blind eye to anti-Semitism" is to become the new director of Labour Friends of Israel.
Berger, 25, who replaces Dan Fox, was also linked to Prime Minister Tony Blair's son Euan by tabloid reports, though both denied any romantic connections.
When she resigned from her role as co-convenor anti-racism & anti-fascism campaign along with fellow Jewish students Mitch Simmons and Jonny Warren, Berger said: "After five years fighting racism in the student movement, I am devastated to find it so prevalent at the heart of my own union. It further upsets me that in order to bring anti-Semitism to my executives attention I had to resign. It makes a mockery of everything NUS claims to stand for".
