Police have made a number of arrests following a spate of violent burglaries in March and April that took place at Jewish homes in Edgware, Hendon and Golders Green.

Three men are currently being held by police at a north London police station and are being questioned in connection with seven violent attacks in which residents in the Jewish homes were threatened with guns and knives.

As a result, members of the Jewish community in north west London have been told to be alert to any bogus callers.

"We have been told to be careful when opening the door to anyone claiming to be delivering a package," one north west London resident told SomethingJewish. "It is quite scary what is going on especially as it seems that it is members of the community being targeted."

Police are still appealing to anyone with information about who is involved with the crimes to contact them as well as trying to locate two vehicles, a Peugeot 206 with the registration number LTO5 ZYR and a Mercedes Benz registration number LE02 UXR.
