Following last year's inaugural X-factor style contest to find the Jewish community's best vocal talent, The Big Voice is back again with the top prize of a recording session at rock star Bryan Ferry's studio.
Organised by Norwood, the Jewish charity for children and families, The Big Voice will be holding auditions for would-be stars aged 18-33 on September 9 and September 20 at the Kennedy Leigh Centre in Hendon, north west London.
The top six performers from the auditions will then get the chance to perform in front of a live audience at The Arts Depot in Finchley, north west London in Match 2008.
Cost of entry is £15 or £10 for students.
"The quality of competition at The BIG Voice 2006 was amazing and demonstrated the level of talent out there," said Sara Parish of Young Norwood. "We are hoping for an even higher standard this time."
Previous winner Yamit Mamo is currently recording her debut album and sings the title track for new film Death at a Funeral which stars fellow Jew Andy Nyman.
To register to compete, telephone 020 8420 6832 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Closing date for would be stars is September 3.
