Jewish gravestones were desecrated at a Southampton cemetery between 4pm July 7th and 7am July 8th 2003.
 
Nazi slogans and swastikas were daubed on 11 gravestones and six other graves were pushed over. The Police are appealing for witnesses.

A Community Security Trust spokesman said: "This is the second desecration of Jewish graves in Southampton in seven months. We urge anyone who may have information about this appalling attack, to contact the Police. The use of Nazi graffiti is deeply offensive to the Jewish community."
 
There were 350 anti-semitic incidents in 2002 and 89 in the first quarter of 2003.
