Jewish Care campus

A new £40m development that will incorporate a care home, day centre for senior citizens and offices for Jewish charity Jewish Care has received planning permission to be built in Golders Green, north west London.

The care campus will see redevelopment of its existing HQ along with other nearby facilities and is set to begin in March 2008 with completion in 2011.

As well a modern 54 bed nursing home, the campus will offer 45 apartments for its clients.

"The care campus will be the first of its kind for the Jewish community and will be one of the most exciting care developments in the country," said Jewish Care chief executive Simon Morris.

Morris added: “The campus will provide cutting edge health and social care services in a modern setting, in the heart of our community. It is vital that Jewish Care can meet the changing needs and expectations of the next generation of older people and the new campus will help us to do this."
