bmi to Israel
Airline bmi has confirmed it is to offer a daily service to Tel Aviv starting from March 13 next year. Return fares for the flight from London's Heathrow airport start from £243.60 in economy class and £881.60 in business class.
The airline becomes the latest entrant in the fast growing UK to Israel route following ThomsonFly commencing flights last month.
According to bmi chief executive Nigel Turner, the airline believes its entry to Israel will help make the route more competitive for the travelling public.
"We have every confidence that our presence on this new route will stimulate its competitiveness," he said. "Tel Aviv is a key destination in the Middle East and its addition further enhances our ever-growing network of destinations in an area of economic growth and development."
Flights will leave Heathrow at 12.55pm and arrive in Tel Aviv at 7.55pm while the return flight leaves Tel Aviv at 7.15am and arrives at Heathrow at 10.45am.
