London radio station Capital 95.8 has awarded Jewish special needs charity £1500 from its annual Help A London Child appeal.

The money will be used to help the charity with swimming lessons for children who attend Kisharon Day School and Tuffkid Nursery in north west London.

On receiving the donation, David Goodman, executive director of Kisharon said: "We are extremely privileged to have been awarded this kind donation by Capital’s Help a London Child. Their valuable contribution will aid our pupil’s development and teach them an important skill."

Capital breakfast presenter Jonny Vaughn added: "The positive impact Help A London Child has had on the lives of underprivileged children and young people cannot be overestimated. Being a father myself, I realise how crucial it is for charities to get the funding they depend on."
