One of the first ever UK arts events to bring together a diverse range of Jewish and Muslim creative talent is to take place in north west London next month.
The MUJU Upstarts Festival at the Tricycle Theatre in Kilburn on March 2 offers a range of entertainment including comedy, photography, painting, music and fashion.
The event is in memorial of social activist Ester Gluck, who died age 24 in 2006 and will benefit a charity that supports refugee children.
"As well as raising money for the Separated Child Foundation, this event is intended to demonstrate that, contrary to what many would believe, Muslims and Jews can work together in harmony," said co-organiser Warren Minde.
Tickets for the event which runs from 1pm to 8pm costs £5.
