The London Borough of Barnet has honoured 45 of its local residents including the founder of Lubavitch of Edgware for their contribution in helping others in the local area.
At the borough's 8th annual Civic Awards ceremony, Rabbi Leivi Sudak collected his award from the Mayor, Councillor Maureen Braun.
Rabbi Sudak has just celebrated 21 years since opening the Lubavitch centre which has welcomed many 1000s of people through its doors.
"All our nominees have truly inspirational stories to tell and make a difference to the lives of so many by their hard work and dedication," said Braun. "I congratulate all those nominated this year and particularly the seven outstanding individuals who received their Civic Awards."
