A Supper Quiz at St John's Wood Synagoogue in north west London to support the work of World Jewish Relief in Ukraine has raised £10,000.
Organised by WJR's Gemini Committee, the event saw 287 people participating with the proceeds being split between supporting the Krivoy Rog Community Centre and WJR's Gifts in Kind aid programme.
With a Jewish population of between 12,000-15,000 people, many who live in Krivoy Rog suffer from medical problems caused by pollution from mining in the region as well as poor housing.
"It was a hugely successful event both socially and financially and the work of the Gemini committee was outstanding," said Ian Crooke, chairman of the Supper Quiz Committee. "Were delighted to have raised this money for WJR."
