Learning about Passover
Sinai School
Sinai School

Pupils at Jewish primary school Sinai in Kenton, Middlesex have taken part in a series of educational programmes as part of the built up to Passover.

Mock seders as well as lessons in baking matzos saw pupils learn more about the importance of Passover.

Guest rabbis, David Lister, Edgware Synagogue; Mordechai Ginsbury, Hendon Synagogue and Meir Salasnik, Bushey United Synagogue joined with Sinai's own Rabbi Irving Jscobs to talk about the festival.

Older pupils used Powerpoint presentations to explain the four sons and four questions.

"The sedarim and matzo baking classes were a great success, giving the pupils a hands-on education to Pesach," said headteacher Vivienne Orloff. "Learning about the festivals is an important part of Sinai’s Jewish Studies curriculum and I look forward to hearing from our pupils how they contributed at their respective Seder tables on their return to school."
