The chief operating officer of one of the UK's fastest growing property investment companies has been named the London regional winner of the Bradford & Bingley Property Woman of the Year Awards 2008.
Sylvana Young, 36, who co-founded the Young Group with husband Neil, is responsible for all operational aspects of the business as well as being in charge of its lettings and furnishing divisions.
"I’m delighted to have been chosen as the regional winner for London. Property is an asset class that I am passionate about and believe in wholeheartedly," said mother of two Sylvana. "My philosophy, and that of Young Group, is to take a long-term view and invest in areas where there are strong underlying fundamentals of supply and demand coupled with genuine reasons to anticipate long-term capital growth."
Since 2004, the company has transacted over 1,700 residential properties with a value of more than £700 million.
Among properties it owns is The Landmark, a £400 million 45 storey high residential development in Canary Wharf.
