Police have arrested a man following two separate stabbings of members of the Jewish community in Golders Green, north west London late on Friday afternoon.

In one incident, a 47-year-old man in The Drive received stab wounds to his arm and chest following an incident in which the 37-year-old suspect then drove away in the victim's Volvo car.

In the other incident which is believed to have happened earlier in the afternoon, a 43-year-old man was stabbed in Beverly Gardens.

The stolen Volvo was later found abandoned in nearby Cricklewood.

According to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson, officers are keeping an open mind about the two incidents but it is not believed to be a hate related crime.
