The Three Faiths Forum which seeks to promote better dialogue between Jews, Christians and Muslims has appointed a financier as its executive director to develop ways in which the business and financial community can get involved in its work.
Mark Ebert who holds UK and US citizenship, is a resident of Switzerland and currently serves as chairman of the Fortune Group, a London based hedge fund management and advisory firm.
Ebert will work with Three Faiths Forum co-founder Sir Sigmund Sternberg and Stephen Shashoua, director of the Forum.
"I am delighted that, in our eleventh anniversary year, we are to benefit from the wisdom and commitment of Mark Ebert," said Sir Sigmund. "He is the ideal visionary to carry forward and develop our interfaith endeavour."
Commenting on his appointment, Ebert added: "I think the Three Faiths Forum is an ideal platform for promoting better understanding between faiths and therefore peaceful co-existence, and I am keen to do what I can to help it progress its important work."
