Yiddish

If you have ever wanted to learn Yiddish, but feel you don't have the time to devote to long term study, then Ot Azoy!, a six day crash course in London could be what you are after.

Organised by the Jewish Music Institute (JMI), the course at SOAS in central London, runs from August 17 to August 22 and aims to get students able to converse by at the end of the six days.

According to the JMI: "Students who have never spoken or read Yiddish before, can expect to start speaking this expressive language within their first week."

As well as learning the basics of Yiddish, Ot Azoy! will also showcase Yiddish cinema and song.

The course costs £285 or £185 for students.
