An end-of-summer party attended by Big Brother's Rex Newmark has raised £14,000 for Norwood, the charity providing services for people with learning disabilities or coping with social disadvantage.

The event, Cocktails in the City at the Barbican Rooftop Conservatory in central London, was organised for young professionals by Young Norwood (YN), was attended by 420 people.

"This is the first thing I’ve done since leaving the Big Brother House,” said 24-year old chef Newmark.  "It makes me very proud to be supporting a Jewish charity."
