Indian Jewish Association

The UK-based Indian Jewish Association is to adopt a clinic in India that provides people with eye treatment to prevent blindness.

The announcement was made following a presentation by the family of Miriam Hyman who was killed in the London bombings of July 7 2005.

Miriam, whose mother Mavis was born in Calcutta, is being remembered via the Miriam Hyman Paediatric Eye Care Centre in the Orissa Province in east India and to date tens of thousands of ponds has been raised.
