Jewish and Muslim women in Manchester are uniting as part of a celebration to mark International Women's Day 2009 this coming Sunday.

Taking place from 11am to 4pm at Manchester Town Hall, a theatre-based event will allow participants to explore together the theme of inspirations and aspirations of women.

According to organiser Laura Nathan: "This day will provide a platform for Muslim and Jewish to interact through creative activities. What underpins the ethos of this workshop is that the arts have the ability to bring people together, build confidence and break down stereotypes."
