Crisis in Congo
With more than 200,000 people fleeing their homes in Congo, UK humanitarian organisation WJR has launched an emergency appeal to help raise money to help those affected by the current conflict.
According to reports, there are tens of thousands of displaced people in the region affected by the civil unrest and fighting between government troops and rebel forces.
"The situation in Eastern Congo is shocking and the numbers of people fleeing in the wake of the conflict are growing daily," said Paul Anticoni, chief executive of WJR said: We are calling on the community here in the UK to help us make a difference to those in desperate need in the region. We cannot stand by and do nothing."
