The hunt for a head teacher to command the top job at JCoSS, the UK's first cross-community Jewish secondary school due to open in Barnet, north west London in September 2010 is on.
With a salary on offer of up to Ã?Â£93,819, JCoSS is casting its across the globe to find the best candidate with a series of advertisements appealing for candidates to apply for the position appearing in the UK, USA, South Africa, Israel and Australia.
The school, set to cost Ã?Â£50m, is the most expensive ever built in the UK.
"It is more than possible that the successful candidate is currently working down the road from the JCoSS site," said JCoSS's chair of governors Robert Shrager. "We are determined to be able to appoint from a truly exceptional field and for this reason we have taken the decision to cast our net as widely as possible."
Applicants have until January 19 2009 to submit their CV with interviews being held in early February.
As well as being quizzed by school professionals, shortlisted candidates will also be grilled by students on how they will make the school a success.
