Mobile phone tycoon Charles Dunstone has helped Jewish Care raise nearly £20,000 by being a guest speaker for a recent business breakfast.

Dunstone, who founded The Carphone Warehouse, spoke in front of 180 people at upscale hotel Claridges in London's West End and discussed how he built his telecoms empire and well as inviting questions from the audience.

"It's not about hitting targets; it's about surviving and keeping optimistic," he tolf the Business Breakfast Committee of how he runs his business.

Dunstone also revealed that despite the current economic client, there are opportunities out there. "Fortunes are made in good times. Empires are made in hard times. We should come out of this economic recession stronger than when we went in."
