Barnet Council in North London has said that it will once again be providing a Passover collection service to its residents in the run-up to the festival.

The dedicated refuse service will take place along 300 pre-designated routes, allowing residents to dispose of their Chometz and other items before Passover begins on Friday April 6.

Those who do not live in a street covered by the routes can arrange for a free collection by contacting Barnet Council.

Residents are instructed to place their loose food waste into their green recycling bin, first removing the packaging. Other waste should be put into black sacks or other rubbish containers.

The black sacks will be collected from the pre-designated routes on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th of April, while the green bins will be empted on Friday 6th.

To find out whether your street is one of those on the routes, visit: or call 0208 359 4600.

To arrange a collection residents can call the above number or email before 5.15 on April 5th.
