Sukkah in Canary Wharf
One of London's largest sukkahs has been set up in Canary Wharf to play host to workers and locals as the festival continues.
The massive sukkah, which is the brainchild of Canary Wharf Group, will host buffet lunches from October 3-5 for those working in the East London area as well as members of local Jewish community groups.
Among those set to join fellow celebrants for lunch are Stepney Jewish Community Centre, Dennis Centre, Brenner Centre, Schonfeld Square, Holocaust Survivors Centre and representatives from the East London Synagogues Association.
Canary Wharf Group along with BGC Partners and HSBC are also sponsoring three days of lunches which will take place in the sukkah located next to Canary Wharf station.
The temporary structure has been designed by New York architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC.
"Hosting the sukkah is one of the highlights of our year," said Canary Wharf Group plc's Danny Seliger. "It is a great opportunity to invite the local community into Canary Wharf. The Group has a long and proud history of supporting these kinds of community events, as do the other sponsors. It is another way that we can contribute to the greater well-being of the communities that we operate."
