An Israeli hotel co-owned by one of the original investors of Skype is set to get a new name and makeover.
Hotel Kedem Jerusalem led by Kevin Bermeister and a group of private investors, have taken over the former Leonardo Inn Hotel, which will be renamed Jerusalem Gardens Hotel and Spa and undergo rebuilding with new rooms added.
The new management team will be led by Guy Goldman, Leonardo Inn’s general manager - who described the new hotel as 'a gem for Jerusalem', and 'an ideal location for domestic and international travellers'.
“I look forward to leading Kedem’s efforts to renovate the hotel and improve guest services. We are excited to participate in the much needed expansion of Jerusalem’s hotel rooms.”
The Jerusalem Gardens Hotel and Spa will not only provide 180 luxurious rooms and modern amenities - including a spa and health club, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a bar lounge - but the location is hard to beat, with the Knesset, the Israel Museum and the Bible Lands Museum all within easy walking distance.
The hotel is also well placed for public transport, being close to the Jerusalem Light Rail line, which leads straight to the Central Bus Station and all other historical and cultural sites - including the Western Wall and Yad Vashem - within minutes.
