One of te world's leading Jewish Film Festivals, the annual Jewish Motifs Film festival is set to take place from April 24-28 2013, with submissions from filmmakers now being accepted.

The 9th event promises a range of movies from a range of Eastern European nations including Bulgaria, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Hungary as well as various former Soviet nations.

And it has far-reaching aims, including generating interest in Jewish-themed topics and identity through the films shown, showing a variety of films from across the continent and linking up with Jewish film festivals in other nations.

Filmmakers also have the chance to compete for a number of awards given out at the event, including the top prize, the Golden Warsaw Phoenix, as well as runner-up prizes and the audience award.
