JAT seeks new trustees

The Jewish Aids Trust (JAT) is seeking to appoint a number of new trustees to get involved with the group.

"We are looking to bring in two or three more trustees as we make provision for our future," said Harry Rich, chairman of JAT, which is based in Whetstone, north London.

"We are seeking people with a mix of skills who are committed to the cause we are promoting," he added. "Knowledge of HIV or sexual health issues is not at all a pre-requisite, but it would be helpful if we can find trustees who are skilled at fund-raising as that is very much close to the top of our agenda at the moment.

"Our current focus is on HIV, education and support, but we are broadening our work and some experience of sexual health education would be very helpful in some potential trustees."

Currently, JAT has eight trustees, each serving a term of six years, and they intend to grow the number of trustees to eight or nine.

Anyone who would like further information on serving as a trustee with JAT should email: jewishaidstrust@btconnect.com
