With roles in such films as The Goonies, Stand By Me and The Lost Boys in the 80s, the outlook was bright for Corey Feldman – until, at the age of 17, he became addicted to heroin and was arrested for drug possession in the early 90s.

He went through rehab in 1991 and has remained clean, since then starring in a whole bunch of low-budget and straight-to-video films (titles included National Lampoon’s Last Resort, Tales From the Crypt: Bordello Of Blood and Citizen Toxic: The Toxic Avenger Part IV.

He also got into music, currently fronting the band Corey Feldman’s Truth Movement. “With movies you’re just a character saying written words, but as a musical artist you have the opportunity to actually express yourself,” he explains.

It looks as though Feldman may be about to stage something of a comeback. Now aged 32, he can currently be seen on US screens in the comedy Dickie Roberts: Former Child, which topped the American box office in its first week of release.

He will also appear in Cursed, a werewolf film from horror director Wes Craven, which is due out in 2004, and has been seen on US TV show The Surreal Life, which follows the fortunes of the formerly famous.

Just to put a lid on things, Feldman married fiancée Sharon Sprague last year – in an interfaith ceremony conducted by both a rabbi and rapper turned minister MC Hammer.
