Success for summer camp

This year camp Gan Israel UK overnight division had Over 90 boys from all over the UK and Europe. The camp was held in Ludlow, Shropshire. For two weeks from the 12th to the 25th of August.

“It felt like two months packed into two weeks,” said Shmuli Klein one of the counsellors from the USA.

The campers have been boating, swimming, on trips, had sports as well as a full learning programme each day. Led by the camp Rov, Rabbi Mendel Gordon from the Lubavitch Yeshiva of London.

One of the highlights of camp this year was the collecting of the Frierdikeh Rebbe pictures. It came in a series of 76 pictures and was used as an incentive for the kids.

As well as the regular camp programme, another programme was held simultaneously for the 15/16 year olds –a “Masmidim programme”. It was run on the same lines as a Yeshivas Kayits programmes with a half-day learning and a half-day trips. Differnt Rabbonim have come to Farher and Farbreng with the Masmidim.

The camp was organised by Rabbi Yossi Simon, of Tzivos Hashem. The head counsellors were Chaim Abenaim and Sholom Ber Elishevits from Canada and the United States.
