Around one in seven men each day are not washing themselves, a new report has found.
Personal Grooming company Vaseline Intensive Care interviewed 612 men and women to find out what the personal hygiene standards were like of the male population.
Among the findings, 8% of men do not clean their teeth in the morning and even 5% would consider using a toothbrush after it had fallen down the toilet.
When it comes to the importance of looks over booze and cigarettes, 19% of the men surveyed preferred a drink and cigarette as a daily essential over body moisturising which only 6% saw as a daily essential.
"It appears that although some men are starting to try harder when it comes to looking after their appearance, they still have a way to go when it comes to understanding the importance of daily skincare," said a Vaseline spokeswoman.
