As the sound of the shofar heralds the arrival of the High Holy Days, Jewish communities around the world have begun their preparations for one of the most important dates in the Jewish calendar.
Rosh Hashanah does not simply mark the beginning of another new year, it represents a unique opportunity for change.
It's a time to start afresh, for people to engage in self-examination and introspection, to reaffirm their commitment and devotion to their faith and to take pride in Judaism's rich history and traditions.
As synagogues once again reverberate with the sound of Rosh Hashanah's emotive and meaningful prayers, I hope that all your wishes for a successful and sweet New Year will be fulfilled.
