Sexy siren Rachel Stevens has spoken about her Jewish beliefs in the latest issue of womens magazine Marie Claire. Being Jewish for me isnt so much about religion, its more about the family and tradition, she says, but I observe some of the holidays and Ill go to the synagogue on special occasions.
Stevens also revealed that she would want a Jewish wedding. Id like certain aspects of the religion to be involved. I think its beautiful to be married under the chuppah. The singers debut solo offering Sweet Dreams My LA Ex is still in the top five, while her album Funky Dory was released last week.
Alicia Silverstones new TV show has made its debut on US TV. Miss Match, which features the Clueless star as a lawyer-turned-matchmaker, drew 7.7 million viewers when the pilot episode screened on September 28 half as many as its nearest rival, the supernatural series Joan Of Arcadia. Despite the disappointing ratings, the series picked up good reviews, with one calling it pretty darn adorable and describing Silverstone as naturally captivating. Theres no word yet on whether the show will reach the UK.
Actress and model Caprice Bourret has accepted substantial libel damages over allegations that she was a gold-digger.The 28-year-old, who has been starring in the musical Rent in Londons West End, sued Associated Newspapers over an article in the Mail On Sunday in August. The company has agreed to pay her undisclosed damages, which Caprice has said she will donate to several charities including Jewish Blind And Disabled and the NSPCC. I dont want to sue but I dont want people to write anything libellous, Caprice said afterwards. At the end of the day, with the money going to charity, something good came out of something horrible.
