An Israeli model with roots in Liverpool made it to the finals of a top international modelling contest while another Israeli, walked off as one of the three winners.
Tami Tasker, 20, took part in the FashionTV Model Awards in Cannes and beat off contenders from all around the world with her looks and personality. Fellow Israeli, Hen Shiloni was a winner.
Tami holds both British and Israeli nationality and is on the books of two top modelling agencies - Image Model Agency in Israel and Storm Agency in London.
Those in the modelling world are tipping Tami for the top. "Many have recognised Tami's potential. She is being viewed as Israeli's new potential supermodel to replace Shiraz Tal who has now retired," a model spotter told SomethingJewish.
Tami, whose mother Aza died in 1991, has four brothers and has been modelling since the age of 14.
Her father Ivri comes from Liverpool and emigrated to Israel in 1970.
