Remembering the fallen

Several thousand Jewish war veterans from across the UK and other parts of the world along with their family and friends gathered in central London on Sunday for the annual AJEX Annual Remembrance Service and Parade.

The event which remembers fallen comrades and others who died during war, takes place a week after the nation's Remembrance Sunday and saw the war vets march from Horse Guards Parade to the Cenotaph.

Teenagers from the Jewish Lads and Girls Brigade provided marching music during the afternoon event in which Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks led a moving service along with AJEX Chaplain, the Rev Malcolm Weisman,

General Sir Michael Rose, who saw service in Bosnia and commanded the 22nd SAS Regiment was reviewing officer on the day which ended with refreshments and a reunion at New Connaught Rooms in Holburn.
